- Almost 1 in 4 college students drink alcohol 10 or more times a month, and 29% report being intoxicated 3 or more times per month.
- Beer, wine, and spirits, which is often referred to as hard liquor, contain various different quantities of ethanol by weight or volume; beer contains between 4-6% ethanol; wine contains roughly 10-13%, and hard liquor, which contains the highest amounts , which is estimated to be between 20-50%. The majority of hard liquor contains 40% of ethanol and is referred to as 80 proof.
